Statement of Faith

1. We believe that all scripture is inspired, inerrant and is the final authority for all of life. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet 1:20)

2. We believe the Godhead exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and these three are one God (Gen 1:26; 2 Co 13:14; Deu 6:4)

3. We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God but willfully fell from his sinless state with the result that all men are sinners and hopelessly sinful in themselves apart from the grace of God. (Gen. 1:27; 9:6; Rom. 5:12; 3:23; Eph. 2:1)

4. We believe the eternal Son of God took on flesh and blood in the Lord Jesus Christ, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is both true God and true man apart from sin. (Jo 1:1, 14, 18; Matt. 1:21-23; 1 Jo. 5:20; Phil. 2:7; Heb 2:14)

5. We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared unto His disciples (1 Co 15:1-4; Rom. 4:25)

6. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and His pouring forth the Holy Spirit on His Church for power. (Acts 1:8, 9; 2:33)

7. We believe salvation is received by grace alone through faith in the substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ for our sins and resurrection for our justification (1Pe 3:18; 1 Co 15:1-4; Acts 4:12; Eph 2:8; Rom 1:16)

8. We believe that every true believer born of the Spirit can have full assurance of salvation and has eternal life in Christ. (Jo 3:5-6; 1 Jo 5:12-13; Jo 10:28-29)

9. We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent on the day of Pentecost, dwells in every believer, unites all to Christ in one body, and is the source of all power and all acceptable service. (Acts 2:1-4; Rom 8:9; 1 Co 6:19; 12:13; Gal 5:22-23)

10. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation and in the continued filling for power and service of those among the saved who are yielded to Him and to His will. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Eph 5:18)

11. We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to Christians today and that they should be operative in the Church for the Church to manifest her full glory under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. (1 Co 12)

12. We believe in the healing of the body by Divine power, or Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced by the Early Church. (Acts 4:30; Rom 8:11; 1 Co 12:9; Jam 5:14)

13. We believe every believer is called to a holy life of service and should belong to a Bible-believing local Church for fellowship and for the furtherance of the gospel to every creature at home and around the world. (1 Pet 1:15-16; Mat 28:19-20; Heb 10:25; Acts 1:8; Mar 16:15)

14. We believe that the ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded in the scriptures to all who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord thus declaring to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Mat 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom 6:4)

15. We believe that the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, consisting of elements – bread and the fruit of the vine – is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of His suffering and death, a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined on all believers “till He come!” (2Pet 1:4; 1 Co 11:26)

16. We believe in the bodily return of the Lord which is the blessed hope of the Church. (Titus 1:13; Rom 3:10; 1 Th 1:10; 4:13-18; 5:4-10; Mat 24:21, 29-30; 25:31)

17. We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgement in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels. (Mat 15:41; Rev 20:14-15)

18. We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. (Rev 20:1-6; Mat 25:46)
